The bucks couldn't have any privacy from the neighbors who were nosing around.
Franklin! get out of there.

Dud faces off with a Cuckoo Marans hen.

June peeks in the pen of the new boys.

Clara comes over to get a good look.

Dud and Nougat think it's funny that the girls are spying on them.

My gosh Clara, all but throwing yourself at Nougat.
Mike says Clara looks to have a new spring in her step now.

Nougat
One of the Bourbon Red turkey poults scouting the new neighbor.

Mojita, our tame Cuckoo Marans hen, in the goat pen evaluating the new neighbors.

Now, we have 5 Nigerian Dairy Goats
Clara, June, SweetPea which are Grandmother, Daughter, Granddaughter
Nougat, MilkDud which are Father and Son
I suppose we may have some kids in May or June
Congratulations on your new additions. They sure are cute.
ReplyDeleteI daresay you will have baby goats in about 5 months should you let them get better acquainted :) I think baby goats are just about the cutest things on earth - I'm rather partial to baby lambs and calves too.....
You have some really nice looking turkeys and chickens on your farm.
How sweet! Clara has a crush on Nougat! I bet they'll make some pretty babies with their color combinations. And my bet is on the hen squaring off with Dud! Are you keeping the bucks or are they only on loan?
ReplyDeleteDear Lord, now I have to brace myself for the inevitable: adorable baby Nigerian dwarf goats! Aaaaaaargh! MORE CUTE!
Your new goats are so sweet! Goats are amazingly cute. Your cuckoo marans look a lot like my Dominiques. I read somewhere that the Doms have some French Marans somewhere in their bloodlines. They are beautiful hens- congrats! I wish I had more room, I'd love a few marans!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful goats! I can't wait to get mine!!!
ReplyDeleteOH yeah!! I was hoping you'd post some pictures!! They're beautiful. I'm jealous Sam got to see them. I'll have to come back over when the weather warms up a little.
ReplyDeleteThe new goats are really handsome!!! BTW, I'd kiss SweetPea, too!
ReplyDeleteDiane's Mom
Congratulations! Those are 2 handsome fellows you have there.
ReplyDeleteHave you planned who you will breed to who?
I agree it will be interesting to see the kids :-) The color combinations you have with the lighter does and darker bucks should produce some beautifully marked babies.
Have the boys started courting the girls yet?
That Sweet Pea is a precious little one, love her photos you recently posted :-)
June looks like she's thinking...."Hey! He's kinda cute!" :) Can't wait to see kid pics!
ReplyDeleteI love DUD! I'd kiss him ; )
ReplyDeleteps- send me your address and I'll send you one of my '3 dumb dogs' Christamas card.
You WON!!! Come on over!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky day for Clara and June! Sweetpea will always be my favorite :) Congratulations the new guys!
