Two Friday nights in a row we have gone up to Sharpies for dinner.
For out in the sticks, the food is pretty good. A friend of mine and her husband own and operate it. Actually she works full-time for the Town of Boone and then works at the restaurant on nights and weekends. I don't know how she keeps up the pace.
After dinner, we came home for the entertainment, watching the goats and birds.

your goats are going to do great at the shows! I just love seeing their photos. Glad you got a night out but if you are like me you love the pintos and cornbread alot. LOL

LOL...Made me remember how I used to practice on some of my dairy girls. I would shave their back ends, seeing how they looked in case I wanted to show them. I did not shave their entire bodies. Funny, huh?

I loved the flying goat photo. Silly imps. Seems when one gets excited, they all jump on the head butt bandwagon.
I am sitting here laughing so hard at the photos of your goats! Especially Mike shearing CoCo... and leading the herd around "the ring" in their show paces. ADORABLE!

ReplyDeleteAll your goats are beautiful, but to me Cahoots and Deets stand out. I did a little volunteer work for my local Southwest Nigerian Goat Club and have seen some of what the judges look for, although I'm far from experienced.
Cahoots has a beautiful topline, though. As does Deets, but Deets also has an attractive head, too.
Mike did a good job clipping the goats, but he'll probably want to take off a little more hair, especially off the belly and legs. The tails are perfection already. Nice job!

Oh! ANd I just peeked again at your goatie pics...and I wouldn't be surprised at all if Coco brings home a few ribbons, too. Very attractive build on that one. :)

Eating out is rare for us too, pintos and cornbread a regular. The eating places are all so far away and we just like eating here.
The guineas are growing fast!

Those girls sure seem to like Cahoot. It is kind of funny. You do have beautiful goats.
ReplyDeleteWould you believe that my husband's favorite meal is pinto beans and cornbread? He is so happy when I cook them. I'd like to say that your goats sure know how to pose. I like the little fellow who turned to look at the camera, and which one is doing that little dance of hopping in the air? True showmen,I say.
