We used to have this pair of geese. Tootsie upfront, a Super African. HonkyTonk in the back, a Chinese/African cross. At our former home, we made 'em a tarp pond (but we needed a spring-fed pond).

At this home, Pappy out picking.

and MilkDud too.
Hey, no snow! There's an improvement, lol! Believe me, after 20+ years up north in the snowbelt, I do appreciate this early spring down here in the Piedmont.
ReplyDeleteWhoo-whee, how do those girlies walk? Gotta tell you, to the uninitiated, those don't look like girl goats from behind, if you catch my drift. (if you don't, it's probably a good thing...I'm too tired to be loose on the internet right now, lol.)
Weee hoooo. I'm rethinking my dream to have children! Those ladies should get a prize for their udders! Kisses from Isobelle!
ReplyDeleteYour geese were magnificent. Ever thing about getting more? Springs and mountains just seem to go together, so you could build them a nice little pond.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, those are SOME udders!
Yowzers!! Those are some healthy looking Mommas there!! I bet you would get a gallon at milking...those babies eat alot more than you could imagine. It would be interesting to really know how much they are producing? Course, those babies come first, but it would be amazing to see.
ReplyDeleteYou are really greening up! Doesn't that long terrible Winter seem long long ago? Funny how we put that stuff out of our minds and enjoy the Gorgeous Spring!!
Groan - makes me grateful I had only 1 baby!!!!
ReplyDeleteNancy

Those poor goats. It must be awful for them to try to walk!

My Annie has udders like that with her twins. She had triples last year. She has to walk all spread legged.
ReplyDeleteBless their little hearts!
It looks like it is getting greener your way too.
Have a great day.
Pam
Those are fabulous udders. Are you going to a show this spring?
ReplyDeleteGreat udders! They look like they're in great shape and producing lots of milk.
ReplyDeleteYes, we are going to Clemson and Asheville Shows.
ReplyDeleteI can think of one word for those udders, amazing!
ReplyDeleteI remember when you didn't have goats and wanted to move. Look at you now.
Maybe you should post a video of Clara walking with those full milk bags.
