We used to come here all the time.

back at home, a turkey girl feels good
I told Franklin that I was going to get him a Tshirt that read:
I survived another Thanksgiving.
And Jefferson gets a Tshirt too:
A dark cloud has hung over us this Thanksgiving holiday because of the Jeremy situation. Five of us, [his maternal grandparents, mother, Mike and I] visited with him Saturday morning at the Detention Center, he on the phone through the glass and us taking turns on the phone on our side. Was a sad time, he was weeping and we were weeping. As we walked out, we agreed that the grieving process is the same as if he has died, (because we know he's never coming back home).
Getting out with the dogs is a good antidote. My heart aches for all of you.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Tammy (p.s. love the turkey boys who survived Thanksgiving!)
I'm glad that you got out and about. Doing things is the best medicine for your heartache. I am so sorry that this has happened to your family.
ReplyDeleteI was so sad to read of Jeremy.
ReplyDeleteHow the family handles this life-changing event will be a process that will need to unfold at each step of the way.
Stick together. Families have an amazing way to surmount tragedies.
Hang in there!
Your walk looked amazing! Turkeys are sooooooooo handsome!

franklin looks better than ever!!!!
ReplyDeleteHoney, I am grieving with you as well. Love the t-shirt idea for Franklin. Now that would be picture worthy. Hugs and take care, Mal
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you can make those t-shirts for the boys!!
ReplyDeleteGo out and walk whenever you feel the need to refresh your spirit - if only my knees would let me do that again!

Life has a way of throwing us curve balls. We never know what we will do with them until they are thrown. This one is a doozy and I'm so sorry it came your way. Keep moving, it looks to me like your going in the right direction. I too love the t-shirt idea for Franklin.
ReplyDeleteThe trail looks like such a beautiful place to walk. Looks like a good place for a person to clear their mind which it sounds like you could use these days. I am so sorry to hear what you and your family are going through.
ReplyDeleteSeeing your blog for the first time! What type of dogs do you have? They look interesting. Love the turkeys!
