Cocoa and Cookie gave birth...

I played the role of doula today not once but twice. Two-year old twin sisters Cocoa and Cookie gave birth within hours of each other. Sire is Little Tots Estate Redwood. Mike was here during Cocoa's labor, and played the role of veterinarian, pulling Coconut into the world.

All three arrived rear feet first
which is backwards.

The girls name is Rufescent
which means
tinged with red.

next door is Rhuffles and her kids.

Two weeks ago, Rhusti delivered two girls.

Now, Rhuffles delivered triplets in the
wee hours of 3/21/18.

Still cold and windy here in the NC Appalachians

Still cold and windy here in the NC Appalachians but we did have some overdue sunshine today. Our pregnant Nigerian goat girls (and our one ewe) out looking for pickings today.

I was able to hang out at the barn.
