a few pics & Bell's Palsy

Well, as we get older,
life really likes to throw stuff at ya.
At the moment,
I have Bell's Palsy.
From what I have read,
I will likely make a full recovery,
although my doctor just seems
concerned. I am a 62 yr old diabetic.

I am on Day # 10
and 2nd week off large doses
of Prednisone.  The left side of my
face is paralyzed, no changes yet but
each time I wake up I try to form a whistle.

I am thankful for drinking straws,
so I can get fluids in me.
However, water tastes very metallic so
I add in some grape-flavored electrolytes.

While I would like to get over this,
there are many diagnoses that could be much
worse than Bell's Palsy so I am grateful
that I am vertical, able to eat, enjoy
my animals, etc.

Bunny and Buzzard

Bunny
aka BunnyBunBun

Buzzard
aka BooBoo

After losing Bitzi,
Bunny has turned out to be
such a joy in our lives.
although we've always loved terriers,
first time having a Scottie,
she is smart, obedient, easy to train,
an easy keeper.

Now, is she a fiery terrier?
Absolutely!

Buzzard has a big coat
but last time he was at the groomer
she had to shave him because
Bunny constantly chews on him
and it matts his hair.
