I love the picture with the banner in the background. I see the leads on the goats, but how much work was it to the birds to stay there?

That was supposed to be pictures. I like them all.

I also see that you kept a son of Franklin's. Those Turks get to you real fast.

I am so lusting after your goats. They are just gorgeous!

I'm wondering... what is the purpose of guineas? Do they lay eggs to eat? Ward off bugs? I've been seeing them a lot lately and honestly, it is my first time learning about them.

Hi Farmer, Guinea's are awesome
http://www.guineafowl.com/fritsfarm/guineas/

read that link, guinea's eat bugs and don't scratch, so they are great for gardens. We eat the eggs and they are quite comical, but not the brightess birds on the farm.

Back from vacation and slowly catching up. I'm interested in that Franklin and Jefferson seem to display all year. Around here, the wild turkeys only do that in the Spring. Suppose it's a result of domesticity?

I think I have fallen in love with Beaufort. He is a cutie-pie! Do you think that he would like to kiss me? My lady still has brontosaurus but it is starting to get better, only it's worse at night. I can hear her coughing all the way out to the barn. Poor lady.
goatie kisses from Lucky Nickel.
