Why You Need A Goat
Latest edition Nov/Dec of Countryside Magazine. For those of us addicted to goats, it should read - Why I Need ANOTHER Goat. For us addicts, we're always rationaling the expense of another goat for much-needed/desired bloodlines in the herd.
Chamonix is almost 6 months old and Mama Clara still hasn't weaned her.
In the NC Appalachian Mtns, NW NC. A full-blown nester although I have to earn a living away from home. We live on 30 acres, can't see any neighbors. I like to hang out with my critters - 50 chickens, 6 Bourbon Red turkeys, 15 Pearl & Pied Guineas, 20 Nigerian Dwarf Dairy goats, a pair of rowdy Irish Terriers, Brawn and Bliss, a pair of Great Pyrenees livestock-guardian dogs, JackBadger and BarbaraJean. We enjoy taking our goats to shows. Mike and I are Life Masters at Bridge.

At that size Chamonix looks so odd feeding from Clara.
All your animals look so happy and healthy.

Beautiful photographs, as always!
That picture of the trees is gorgeous. Miss Chef and I are headed to Brevard this weekend; looks like we accidentally picked a great one!
Wonder if the other kids tease Chamonix about being a "big baby." :)
