Bennie has been a bad turkey, gonna be a White Christmas

Bourbon Red Turkeys

Along with a couple of girls, we sold Bennie to our friends Carol and Duane at Kids Corral. Carol owns and operates a day care out of her home. Bennie (as in Ben of Ben Franklin), was behaving himself for a while, he was getting lots of attention from Duane and Carol and apparently wanted to keep them all to himself. He started chasing the day-care kids, to the point that they were crying and afraid to get out of the car when the parents were dropping their kids off. Carol and Duane tried to discipline Bennie but he's now too spoiled to mind them.

On Sunday, we met Carol and Duane in Pineloa, ate pizza at the Italian Restaurant, and brought Bennie back home. Franklin and Jefferson were less than thrilled to see Bennie so we'll see how things go.

Bennie got out of the truck at our house and saw the BEAR CROSSING sign, I think that humbled him a little bit.

Can you tell that Lucy and Pie's Mama is June?

Our local weatherman says we're gonna have a white Christmas, (at our house it's still white).
Some good little boys and girls must be wishing for a White Christmas, because that's what we are going to get. Clouds will increase Friday (Christmas Eve) with a wintry mix of sleet and snow developing either late in the day or early Friday night. Santa will have a slick ride. As colder air invades late Friday night, precipitation will change to all snow. Snow or snow showers will last through Christmas with cold temperatures. Much colder air comes Saturday night. Sunday will be cold and blustery with snow showers.

Stay tuned.

We're supposed to get another 5 to 7 inches today (this is on top of the 2 feet we got last weekend!), followed by 2 more tomorrow and then freezing rain to top it off!

I hope that you have a peaceful, joyful Christmas!

Joanna...
I've heard great things about the Italian restaurant Pineola...did you and Mike like it? If we ever get out of here again, we might try it after Christmas.

Too bad that Going Gently-John is so far away over the pond. I think that Bennie would fit in nicely with all his critters!

It has been raining here for three days and they don't think it will stop until Thursday. Plus, another storm is on it's way right behind this one. A lot of lash flooding and down trees, and very heavy winds. Time to stay in doors. Looks like it is going to be a BAD winter.
I hope Bennie likes his new home and that Jefferson and Franklin are not to mean to him.

We will get just a dusting of snow, enough to freshen the snow cover that we already have. Sorry that Benny was so bad, tell him that if he continues in his wicked ways, that bear will get him.

Oh dear, naughty Bennie.
Though, I'm thinking I must be a little bit evil for chuckling over the image of him chasing the daycare kids all over the place. lol

Oh dear, poor Bennie. Or, maybe it is smart-Bennie. He's back home, where apparently, he likes it!

Let us know about the weather, ok? Always worried about my fellow-bloggers during these times.

Hi Joanna and Mike! Been straight out busy! Sadly, to busy to check on my friends and update our own blog too! Wanted to wish you all a Happy Peaceful Christmas and New Year! Glad to see all the critters are good in that weather. I promise to stop complaining about our cold days after seeing your video! Best wishes to all! :)

Enjoy your pretty snow. It's snowing here, but it's in the 40's, so it's too warm for any snow to stick.
Naughty Benny. Do turkeys have spurs like roosters do?

That darned Bennie! And those kids getting the heck scared out of them. Well, I can fully understand their fear.
Maybe Franklin needs to have a talk with Bennie about how to behave!
Wishing you and everyone there a very Merry Christmas!
