Closed & Quiche

The Boone Police Department is advising that everyone stay home. The National Weather Service’s Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the High Country until 4:00 p.m. Saturday.

That's the bad news but the good news is - everything in Town shut down due to heavy icing and snow, and I didn't have to go to work today! When the University shuts down, it must be treacherous. I got the "call" at 5:45AM, since I'm the media person, I contacted the radio station and updated some webpages, and went back to bed.

Got up later and I threw a quiche together.

Mike's out shoveling.

If it weren't snowing so hard and the roads weren't such a mess I'd be inviting myself over to your house for some of the quiche!

I've been wondering how you were doing up there in the hills! Glad to know you got to stay home. Yeah, I'm jealous. Hope it thaws a little before you have to drive out on Sunday!

Cold rain down this way. I hope the snow storm won't be as bad as they predict up your way.
The Quiche sure looks good.
Stay warm.

Wow, that quiche looks fab. Be careful, stay warm, and be sure the roads are cleared before you venture out! Good thing they have the weekend to take care of it!

That looks delisious!! First time here but I added you. This is kinda off topic here but I had some questions about your bourbon reds. Last year was our first year raising turkeys and we raised bourbon reds. We loved them and they were tasty but their legs had so many little peices of cartalige and tendons that you couldn't really enjoy them. Do you eat your turkeys? If so is this just a thing with that breed?

You are a serious pro at photographing food. It's a true art and not everyone can do it make the food look as amazing as you have.
I don't even like cheese, but this Quiche still looks very delish!

Stay safe. It's snowing here and is supposed to snow off and on all week. Looks like you'll be getting more storms, too.
