gas prices

Oh my, driving down our main street this morning, at the gas stations, I was seeing $3.04 per gallon gas for regular on one side of the street and $3.05 per gallon for regular gas on the other side of the street.

Geez, I can't afford gasoline or a new electric/battery-operated car. How much is regular gas in your area?

Mobile is a big county and the prices are running from 2.91 to 3.05. I feel ya girl - it's hurting me too.

I just filled up the tank yesterday at $2.92 a gallon. Made out checks for higher electric bills this morning, bought higher priced groceries yesterday!
If I could just give up eating, driving, and electricity, I'd have it made.

Have a great day.

It is 3.15 per gallon here in North Florida.
It is going to works it way up to five dollars a gallon and stay at that price. They have sold 16 million cars in China last year and just as many in India. They will sell more this year cause the price of gasoline to go up do to demand. Countries where people could never afford cars can do so now and this affect the demand as well as the supply. I drive to Valdosta Georgia to get my supplies once a month and fill up as it is 20 to 30 cents cheaper per gallon. Less taxes than FL. Everthing thing is going to go way up.

Gag! I just looked it up, and I wish I hadn't. It's an average of $3.31 around here. We're always much higher than the national average.

This is one of the many reasons I'm glad I retired when I did. At least a tank of gas lasts me about three weeks now, instead of the five or six days it did when I was making the trek to work every day.

How about $3.35 in Upstate NY? Disgusting, isn't it? And when the oil companies post their billion dollar profits I want to scream! Or get one of those CEO's in a room...alone...

The last sub-$3 station around me just posted $3 this morning. Otherwise, our prices are about the same as yours.

What I want to know is why people aren't changing their driving habits like they did last time this happened--driving slower on the highway, car pooling to work, leaving the SUV at home? (I'm sitting here right now, processing a loan for a V8 Jeep Commander.)

It's like we're resigned to it now. But when we all changed our driving habits two years ago, the demand dropped and so did prices!

Down the mountain from ya'll we are paying 3.02 for now.

Don't you have enough goats to hook up to a wagon and pull you to work? ;)

Yes Ma'am, $5 or more is coming. Folks will be hurting before long with the rise in prices. Everything goes up when the price of oil goes up.

We have a GMC diesel truck and are choking at having to pay $3.98 a gallon for diesel.

Regular gas is $3.11 a gallon here in New Mexico.

It's DOWN to $3.09 a gal in SE Minnesota. It was up to $3.19 last week.

What the heck? I can't afford to heat my house, why worry about being able to afford driving?

It was $2.99 in southern Tennessee and northern Alabama this morning. Groceries are raising through the roof as well but the government says the economy is getting better every day :S I guess they need to go buy groceries and gas like the rest of us...

We are hovering around $3.00, here in Columbus, GA. I am so looking forward to all the goat shows, but shutter at the thought of the cost it will take to get there!

I'm outside of Tonganoxie, west of Kansas City, Kansas... it was 3.05 here a week ago, and back down to between 2.92 and 2.97 now, depending on where you gas up. Horrible! I put 15.00 in this morning and used it all on errands today!
