Oh my, am I glad I don't own a dairy. I think selling kids off of three does is a big job, to think, if I had a dairy I'd have hundreds of kids to find owners for. No, thank you but it would be fascinating to see the day to day operations of a goat dairy.
In the NC Appalachian Mtns, NW NC. A full-blown nester although I have to earn a living away from home. We live on 30 acres, can't see any neighbors. I like to hang out with my critters - 50 chickens, 6 Bourbon Red turkeys, 15 Pearl & Pied Guineas, 20 Nigerian Dwarf Dairy goats, a pair of rowdy Irish Terriers, Brawn and Bliss, a pair of Great Pyrenees livestock-guardian dogs, JackBadger and BarbaraJean. We enjoy taking our goats to shows. Mike and I are Life Masters at Bridge.
