June had twins!

BooneDocksWilcox has had its first goat kids, on Monday May 18th- Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats - double registered, AGS and ADGA. June delivered twins while we were away at work. When we arrived home, we had a great surprise, and all must have gone well, the babies were already dried off and figuring out the milk buffet.

BooneDocksWilcox Gypsy Dreams We feel that she arrived first. Gypsy seemed a little stronger on her legs.

BooneDocksWilcox Appalachian Sundance. Sunny, the male, was still a little weak in the legs when we came upon them.

Their father, Russell Stover, is the buck that we tragically lost, so of course, we are happy that Russell lives on although neither kid has his coloring.

June is the doting mother and she did a great job on her own today. Gypsy looks like her grandmother, Clara, who is due with kids anytime. I didn't think to check for blue eyes but I'm not gaga over blue eyes like some goat people. June has blue eyes.

June is big girl and Mike thinks the babies are fairly good sized but since we are new at this, don't know. Gypsy came out a little larger and heavier than her brother but Mike says Sunny is catching up fast by regularly hitting the milk bar.
Brace yourself, many, many photo's of my goat babies will be posted here, I'm so tickled to be a goat Mama.

Congratulations Joanne AND June! What lovely, colorful babies! They look so tiny ~ yet quite stout. Absolutely adorable. I have a feeling somebody is going to be spending a LOT of time out in the barn...

Ahh!! I feel your excitement! Nothing like the anticipation and the happy outcome of babies!! Congratulations!! They are absolutely adorable, I don't have nigerians, but fainters and alpines. I am thinking those are just too cute to pass up, I may have to have a couple of those too!!

Milk Buffet! Hilarious.

Oh Joanna, those babies are just the sweetest things. Is there anything on earth cuter than a baby goat? Methinks not.

Love their names too! Congratulations, Granny J.

Just gotta add my congratulations to the pile. Sunny looks like a miniature June; Gypsy's name fits her, too. Glad June is such a good momma, and don't worry about inundating us with pictures. As Alix said, can't get much cuter than baby goats--especially these dwarf ones!

Those babies are so cute. When my kids were little, we had a goat with twins-one light and one dark just like yours. The kids named them Goliath and Samson. So cute...
