go over to the Noble Pig and see her Zinfandel Port Balls, I was going to make 'em tonight but I don't have any powdered sugar, durn it. For Christmas, I'm not going to give adults store-bought stuff anymore, Mike and I are going to give little baskets filled with some homemade goodies. Next year, I hope the baskets will include some goat products that we've made. For young nieces and nephews, we give them toys or books about being good to animals.

mmmm...mmmmm love Zin love chocolate...definitely going to try the Zinfandel Port Balls! Thanks for directing me to Noble Pig's blog!
Going to do the same here with the adults, their getting baskets with jam and pumpkin bread and cookies and brownies and such. The nephews are getting a copy of The American Boys Guide Book. It's really cool, Amazon has them and I may have to get me one too. Lots of good Boyscout kinda stuff. I'm still a boy, just got in this old mans body somehow.
mmmmmmmmm.....another holiday treat :) We have an annual cookie baking day with our neighbors the weekend before christmas. I'll have to add this recipe.
We all pass out cookie goodie bags to our neighbors, local kennel, vet's office, etc. So much fun making (and eating :) all those holiday goodies.
Thank you for the web site/recipe.
Those look perty and tasty! I am doing the same as you this year. I'm only giving handmade gifts to the adults. I think food makes a great gift. When someone takes the time to cook for you, you really mean something to them. Food says "I care".
I wish I had half your energy! Great ideas. I'm here, though, because I wanted to see SweetPea again, and I went to your brand new website. Fabulous photos of the critters. I've fallen in love with your goats!

Those look so good! I like the idea of giving things you made. I am doing that a little this year. Next year we're going to make vanilla. It sounds easy and I'm sure it will be good! (I need easy)
