Goats Oats

Competing for the oats.

I know, that's only a face a mother can love, I think she is gorgeous. A Bourbon Red Turkey hen that we raised here, Ally.

Franklin, our Bourbon Red Tom. He is always a hit for those that visit. Loves to show off his tail and gobblegobble.

June, Nigerian Dwarf Dairy doe, will have babies midMay.

BarbraJean, a White Faverolle and SweetPea, a young Nigerian Dwarf Dairy doe.

I got the Cuckoo Marans eating out of my hand.

Looks like there's lots of competition for the oats! Barbara Jean is a cute name for a chickie. Isn't it fun to pick animal names? I think Franklin is even more handsomer than he was the last time I saw a picture of him!

So oatmeal IS a goat meal! I never knew...

And you can tell Ally for me that she has beautiful little birdy eyelashes.

But my favorite is Clara, the grandmother! And Franklin. And of course darling SweetPea. And, oh, shucks, just all of them!

I'm so jealous!
I want an Ally and a Franklin and a cuckoo, too!
Maybe one of these days.

You're making me want chickens and goats again! My son told me the other day that he is building a chicken pen at his house!

As always, gorgeous pictures, and beautiful animals! It looks like they were competing rather peacefully! :)

I have a new love on your farm, Barbra Jean is so cute! How pretty her and Sweet Pea are the same color. They look like they share quite nicely compared to my goats!

I always get excited when you post your photos, Joanna. You could take photos of a compost heap (and have!) and somehow make it beautiful. I'm so jealous! My photos of Kelly & Cy's wedding came out horribly! The big day, the big event and most of my photos were not framed or focused well.

What kind of camera do you use?

I love seeing all your critters! I am very fond of your Franklin. I am thinking of getting a pair of Borubon Reds. Maybe. What the heck, a couple more critters around here won't hurt. lol..
Great pictures.
