I just want to frame this photo by Cathy at Noble Pig and put it in my kitchen. Because I've been experimenting making homemade ice cream, I was also interested in the recipe.
My homemade ice cream uses our "homemade" goats milk. I've been trying to start out simple but the consistancy is somewhat icy and now I want to move towards a creamier base. Stay tuned.
32 guinea's and 9 Cuckoo marans are in their larger condo now. The guinea's are 2 weeks and 2 days old today. We're gonna try to keep them contained for 6 weeks.
I watched MIL can some beans.
A nephew, Demetre, looks on.

Saw a large flock of mature Guineas on Will Vannoy Rd this morning driving to work......they seemed quite content just strolling along looking for bugs!!
Enjoy.....LindaMay
Canning green beans brought back a lot of memories. I hadn't thought of those old pressure cookers in years. Those beans are going to been so good on a winter day along with some cornbread.
I always pressure can my green beans. Soem do cold pack, but that scares the dickens out of me.
Today seems to be the day for blueberries on blogs (me, you, and Prosperpine Hill).
Take care, Joanna! Have a great weekend.
Mmmm...that ice cream is making me drool! That photo is amazing, too!
I'd love to try some goats milk ice cream. You are making me want to hurry up and get my mini-mancha bred so I can have some fresh milk next year. lol!
Wow. So many guineas. What are your plans for them?
Lucky for all of you that you've got someone close who is experienced at canning. I wish I would have paid attention when my grandmother canned her harvest. I always would stay outside and shuck peas or something because the kitchen was so hot and steamy. lol!
Those pressure pots scare me a little. I know there's a trick to canning and the safety, too. I could learn online, but I wish I had someone who could come into my kitchen an teach me firsthand.
We could drink peach smoothies :)
