Considering the cold and snowy weather, I'm thrilled to be getting eggs from the hens. We go through a lot of eggs - baking, breakfast, and other dishes.
Mike collected several eggs today.

Been cold here in Kentucky today too but no snow. Man it even looks cold there. Glad to hear you are getting eggs. I am down to about 5 a week now. My barred rock hen is the only one laying for some reason, but glad to get any. Love all the pictures and the place looks great. Stay warm.

I need to have your chickens talk to my chickens. They think that winter is their vacation time!!
glad to see you got snow too! It took me an hour and 20 minutes to get to work this morning. Great pics of everyone....I am hoping my 3 Nigerian does are bred. I did not bred them last year because I was waiting for my little buck from Texas! Keeping my fingers crossed!
Joanna, your critters are smart as well as adorable!! Loved seeing SweetPea again. And congratulations on your eggs - the only eggs I get are from a styrofoam or cardboard container. Sure would love to have farm fresh eggs just ONCE in my life! Well, I guess I did when I was small, but that's too many decades ago to remember.

Your goats and chickens look nice and warm in their houses. Fresh eggs, sounds great!
Looks cold! That is great that you are getting eggs. None here yet.
Do you have supplemental light? I am lucky to get one egg a day right now. Sigh. Your selection of eggs was beautiful. I love the speckles. I can't wait until my girls are laying again on a daily basis...
we went for a looong dry spell on the eggs. We had a couple of pretty days recently but now we're back to snowy and cold so... we'll see.
there is artificial light in the coop, but our girls free range inside a fenced area. Mike got most of the eggs today from a dog house within the fenced area, not from the coop.
I just love your animals houses! Fun pictures!
Everyone looks tucked in and comfy :)
That's a nice looking batch of eggs.
We are doing good in the dept as well - I'm making a big batch of egg salad today - a favorite of everyone's here :)
What an amazing assortment of eggs. I love those deep, rich chocolate brown ones..those are from the marans, right?
Love the snowy animal pics! We are farther south than you-all we got were flurries.
