eggs, Brown, vitamins, movies, barnheart

We've been eating fresh eggs from our girls. This egg is in a scraped-out baked potato with some parmesan, chives, a drop of milk added, and baked for just a few minutes. We like our yolks warm, but runny.

Same here, (not baked yet) except I scraped out some rolls instead of potato skins. I added some turkey bacon in these too.

Amazing election of Massachusetts Republican State Senator Scott Brown last night to the US Senate replacing the deceased Liberal-Democrat Ted Kennedy's seat.

Check out Scott Brown nude in Cosmopolitan, circa 1982! Scott won the magazine's “America’s Sexiest Man” contest that year, back when he was a 22-year-old law student at Boston College. You can see why.

After seeing that photo, this old broad ran out and bought some vitamins! Actually, the chiropractor suggested I get some real vitamins instead of the cheapo ones I've been taking. I spent $87 so I sure hope he's happy. Talking to the gal at the healthfood store (poor thing got Lyme disease at 12 years old) about my bursitis, she suggested the MSM2000 and the Ubiquinol100 and told me to lay off the tomatoes and oranges. I told her she may as well have stabbed me in the stomach.

Have you seen this movie? I keep hearing great things about it. Mike and I haven't been to the movie theatre in a coons age. We just watch old movies on the Encore Western Channel at home.

Today, Jenna at ColdAntlerFarm wrote about barnheart. I have a serious case of it, she's a wonderful writer.

Scott Brown, uh, WOW! Actually, he's still not at all hard to look at.

I tried MSM for my arthritis about 10 years ago, and didn't notice much difference. It's probably better refined these days. I did give it to my old (20's) gelding, and I could see a definite difference in him. He passed away a few years ago, at 30!

1. Loving our fresh eggs also. That one in the potato skin looks simply delish!

2. Scott Brown - handsome and smart - not a bad combo at all!

3. Vitamins - need to get some.

4. Avatar - highly recommend it! Needs to be seen on the "big screen" though as it won't be nearly as good on video.

5. Barnheart - Jenna rocks!

Having your own eggs is just great. Our hens are taking a break from laying. If they don't get going I'm going to squeeze them to get some eggs. I feel like you about going to the movie. It takes a really great one to make me go to the theater. I saw the preview for Avatar on the DVD Night at the Museum sequal and was amazed with the quality and color. That made me go see it and we went again. Take the night and treat yourselves.

I also have Bursitis. I have it in my right hip from over compensating for the left side with my severe back injury. My Orthopedic Surgeon gave me a shot in the sack that surronds the hip joint and I have not had a problem since. Before getting the shot the pain was horrific and even caused me to fall down several times. I do take good vitamins and I EAT lots of tomatoes and oranges when in season. Just about everyday. Do you take a anti-inflammatory for the bursitis? Send me a email with your mailing address if your comfortable with that. I want to send you some of my homemade jams and jellies.

p.s. If you have insurance you really should see a Orthopedic doctor for the Bursitis. Please know I am only making a suggestion as I know how painful Bursitis can be and the shot makes the pain go away within 15 minutes. This old broad, being me, also used to go to the Chiropractor till he just simply could not help me anymore.

Yummy egg meals! I want to try some of those! My horse friend Number gets some MSM every day. He seems to do well with it and kicks up his heals. I think you'll be leaping and kicking up yours soon! I'm not sure about that man....I'd prefer a photo of Pappy in my Playgoat magazine. hee hee

Mmm, those eggs look incredibly tasty. Probably because I know they're from your chickens!

I did see Avatar, and I really enjoyed it. We saw it in 3D, and I wish we could've gotten into the IMAX showing (sold out). A reviewer on Rotten Tomatoes said what I felt: I walked out of there feeling like I did when I saw Star Wars the first time. (Of course, I was about 10 yrs old at that time, so dunno if that's good or bad!)

I haven't read Cold Antler in a couple of weeks; need to go catch up!

Wow! Wait till I show that pic to the hubby tonight - he won't believe it! I'm surprised more of that photo layout didn't show up during the campaign...

And definitely go see Avatar - it's worth a cinema ticket!

Howdy! Had to check out your blog since you were so kind to check out mine. The eggs in the potato skin and bread look scrumptious! How long do you cook them? As for Avatar, I don't go to the movies ( a phobia of mine) but everyone who has seen says it is one of the best movies they have seen. But you have to see it in 3-D! Going to read through your blog now.

I haven't been to the movies in years and years. If I can't rent it, I don't see it. Simple as that. For a family of 5 to go to the movies these days take an entire paycheck. bah!

Let us know how the MDM and the other stuff works. I've got hip displasia and creaky knees and I've been taking fish oil for more than 15 years. It started to be less effective a couple years ago and I started adding Glucosamine and Chondroiten to my daily regimine. If I don't take it, I literally can't walk without pain. bah! It stinks getting old.

Your food photography is amazing!!! I love my yolks runny, too. I never felt good about it when I bought store bought eggs, but with our own fresh eggs, I feel safe.

Barnheart....sigh. My heart is still sad and I find it difficult to visit the barn now. I love my llamas, goats and sheep but without my horse munching hay in the barn it's just not the same.
