I'm having the same problem. I personally hate word verification and have never had it. I don't get spam messages so I'm not sure what the point is.
I've noticed that the text has been a little easier to read on the WV boxes I've been getting. For a while, I couldn't even BEGIN to make out what the heck the letters were (of course, I think I'm half-blind!).
I actually kind of make a game out of trying to make a real word out of the WV jumble...
I have to use it on my blog because I DID get lots of spammers before I switched to Word Verification. I consider it a necessary evil and try to have fun with it...

I've been having this problem, too. In fact, right before I checked in on my blog, I sent Amy an email about it. Hers isn't the only either.
I'm with you on this...I can't remember which site it is, but I can't ready ANY of the word verifications. It's very frustrating. I just noticed the word verification to leave you this comment is 8 letters long....
So far I have only had a few spammers on my blog. That is the reason I have comment moderation enabled, not to moderate or censor comments but so I can stop spam without having to have that annoying word verification thing on. :)
I don't know what the problem is. I removed the word verification feature but I don't think that solved the problem. Try again and see what happens.
In the meantime you can mail all your extra goat milk to me here in NW Ohio!
